Hey guys,
Sam here.
As you may have noticed, GI now redirects to the old proboards forums instead of GI as you know it. If it hasn’t redirected yet, it will soon.
I’d like to be as honest as possible with you guys about the reason for this. There has been an internal disagreement about how things should be run at GI and what direction we should take in the future. As a result of this disagreement, gamingindians.com, and all other associated domains have been redirected away from the blog and forums.
If it were up to me, this would never have happened, but things are kinda out of my control. But rest assured that we will be back. All of our member database, all our favourite threads, all our blog posts – they will be back. We may return as GamingIndians, or we may return under a different name, but we will return. And I hope that when we do return, you guys return as well with as much enthusiasm as you have for the last three years.
In the mean time you can discuss this in the comments section here or on our Twitter account

Till things are back up – I suggest spread the word around to visit here – not many people are on Twitter. Also, GI has a community in Orkut. So use Twitter / orkut / facebook to keep in touch.

GI has been one of the best thing happend to me in the last 1 year. I have spent countless hours on GI happily reading the posts and so many nice threads. Please Please Sam bring back GI for the sake of all of us. GI is so amazng because of the ppl in it and we are all with you into any new site that you will be creating for us. Hope this happesn very soon.

This is such a depressing news. Yesterday I thought it was my connection acting up when chrome redirected to proboards and firefox still went to GI but then figured its only because FF was working only because of its DNS cache and today it all stopped… My heart still wants to believe this is just a joke. There is a new version of GI at the anvil and Sam is just playing with us.. Hope that’s true..

GI had become an integral part of my life. I used to check GI more often than I check my mail. I’ve made many friends in the 1 year I’ve been there. I’m beginning to miss those ever expressive smileys
